Reaching out for help can seem next to impossible so I commend you for taking this first step towards becoming a better you and having a better life as a result. I hope I can be just a small and positive part of your journey of personal growth. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Washington State University (go Cougs) in 2000. I completed a Master’s Degree in Addictions Counseling from Ottawa University in 2018 and a second Master’s Degree in Counseling in 2022. I am licensed in both substance abuse counseling (LASAC) and general mental health counseling (LAC).
I have experience working with teens and adults who struggle from a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress, substance use, domestic violence, relationship issues, intrusive thoughts, mood disorders, self-esteem/self-worth issues, and phase of life issues, just to name a few. I practice from an eclectic approach because what works for one person does not mean it will work for someone else. I have experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Talk Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. My commitment to you is to work alongside you in achieving your goals in a safe and supportive space. It would be my pleasure and honor to help you alongside your journey towards healing and health.
