Eden Barnett

Finding a good therapist can be tough and typically involves wading through directories, making endless phone calls, imagining opening up to a brand new person. I commend your courage in seeking help and want to support you along this process.

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults (ages 14-27) and adults beyond who struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety, life transitions, and individuals who want to start healing from trauma. I embody the person-centered values of unconditional acceptance and empathy. I have years of experience working with teenagers and adults in both a clinical and non-clinical capacity. Young people are facing more pressure than ever, and I hope I can offer a space to process stress and heal from past wounds.

In the course of treatment, I use a flexible approach of mindfulness-based techniques of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), along with trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I am a therapist who appreciates client feedback and I adjust my approach so it works for meeting your unique goals.

I ensure that you are heard and respected in our work together. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone reconnect with their own life, and I hope that I can offer you a new path forward.
